What Omokri said about Buhari’s “I’ll leave Nigeria better than I met it” statement

President Muhammadu Buhari’s promise to leave Nigeria better than he met it, has stirred reactions from both ordinary Nigerians and members of the opposition party.
The president had made the statement when he received the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria,CAN, at the presidential villa on Friday.

One of those to react, is former aide to ex President, Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri.

Omokri, who has never missed an opportunity to call out the flaws of the Buhari led government, has taken it upon himself to be the number one ‘tormenter’ of the president.

He listed  some things, that the country had before Buhari took over in 2015, saying the president is the worst thing to happen to the country – as he reacted to the President’s statement.

His words:

President Buhari said he will leave Nigeria better than he met it. I remind him how Nigeria was before him:

* Fuel was ₦87
* Dollar was ₦199
* Bag of 50KG rice was ₦9k
* Nigeria was world’s 4th fastest growing economy
* NO ‘inconclusive elections’.
