I Haven't Been Able To Visit My Village In The Last 1 Year - National Assembly Member Laments

The member representing Niger central in the lower chambers of the National Assembly, Adamu Chris, has lamented over the level of insecurity in the Northen part of the country.

Chika shared during a plenary session today that he has not visited his village in the last one year as a result of insecurity within the region. He added that he has been scared of visiting his people in the village because he doesn’t know what would become of him if he tries it.

His words:

“Mr Speaker, where are we going? I cannot go to my village, spend a night and sleep as I’m speaking to you.

“For the last year, I cannot go to my village and sleep, I feel very insecure. And this is where I find myself, it is terrible, we have to do something about it.”
