A 35-year-old woman identified as Aisha Ali, who poured hot water on her husband’s private part has been arrested by policemen in Kano State.
The husband, Aliyu Ibrahim suffered severe burns on his laps and private part as a result of the hot water poured by his wife.
Ibrahim was rushed to Dambatta General Hospital where he is responding to treatment.

Confirming the incident, Kano State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abdullahi, said that the incident, which happened on Thursday, was as a result of the husband’s plans to marry a second wife.
“Aisha boiled water and poured it on her unsuspecting husband while he was lying in the bedroom.
“The accused person fled to Babura, a neighbouring village in Jigawa state, after the incident.
“The police promptly responded to the report on the incident by the village head and got the woman arrested.”
Speaking to newsmen after being paraded at the police command, the suspect said she did not intend to pour the boiling water on her husband, but admitted to have committed the offense.
She asked for forgiveness and expressed support to the husband over his plan to take a second wife.
