Senate Asks Ministerial Nominee, Abubakar Aliyu To Take A Bow Because He Is ‘Loyal’

Senate President Ahmed Lawan had asked a ministerial nominee, Abubakar Aliyu, from Yobe state, to ‘take a bow’ during the senate screening on Thursday.

Aliyu, who is the immediate past deputy governor of Yobe, was given preferential treatment, even though he has no legislative background.

Aliyu, was spared from any questioning because he was found to be “ loyal and competent.”

“He is loyal, committed and competent. He has been doing well and he followed the footsteps of the former governor. We are proud of our nominee,” the Senate president said.
