The Federal Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), are set to meet on Thursday over the strike action declared by the union.
The meeting is coming after the union embarked on a two-week warning strike on Monday.

The meeting which was scheduled for Thursday as the Minister of Labour and Employment, Sen. Chris Ngige, appealed to the ASUU to reconsider its decision on the on-going strike in the interest of the nation.
Representatives from the Mìnistry of Finance and Education are set to participate in the negotiation.
