Abubakar Ahmed Sabo, traditional ruler of Loko, a town in Nasarawa state, says Muhammadu Sanusi II, the deposed emir of Kano, is in his palace and no one will be allowed to speak with him.
Sanusi arrived Nasarawa in the early hours of Tuesday, according to the News Agency of Nigeria.
The former Kano emir was dethroned and sent into exile by the Kano state government led by Abdullahi Ganduje, the state governor.
Sabo, confirming Sanusi’s arrival said, “Yes, Emir Sanusi is in my palace. He arrived this morning around 3 a.m., but no one will be allowed to speak with him.”
