Former lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has called on the government of the day to find solutions to the different security issues affecting the nation.
The former lawmaker pointed out that striking a peace accord between Muslim and Christian communities is only meant to solve the ethnoreligious crisis.

He went on to express that to solve banditry, kidnapping, and terrorism that have rocked many Northern states, the government and security agencies should take actions that are higher than peace accord.
He wrote:
“Peace accord between Muslim and Christian communities or btw hostile tribes can only resolve or remedy ethnoreligious conflicts; But Banditry, Kidnappings and terrorism can only be tackled by the strong action of the Government & security agencies. The difference should be noted.”
