The Yaba College of Technology (Yabatech) has confirmed that its Director of Academic Planning, Mr. M.A.O Omoighe, has died following complications from COVID-19.
Omoighe reportedly died on a Sunday, January 24, 2021 at an undisclosed hospital.
The institution’s board ordered all lectures to now be delivered online, while students are to vacate their hostels latest by Thursday.

All members of staff in the Academic Planning Unit were also ordered to go on self-isolation for two weeks.
The medical centre was also ordered to be shut for two weeks while those who may have had direct contacts with the deceased were told to undergo COVID-19 test and proceed on self-isolation
