The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has announced that the eNaira platform is back, after days of unavailability of the platform.
The eNaira is a central bank digital currency (CBDC) issued by the CBN as a legal tender.
The apex bank in Nigeria declared the unavailability of eNaira services on Wednesday due to maintenance activity being carried out to improve operations.
Through it’s Twitter handle, the CBN announced that the eNaira platform was back last night.
CBN wrote: “eNaira platform is back! Dear valued customers, We are pleased to inform you that the eNaira platform is now back and better following the maintenance carried out by our dedicated technical team.

“Once again, we apologise for any inconvenience customers might have experienced while the system was undergoing maintenance.
“We also appreciate all your kind feedback aimed at making the eNaira better with even more possibilities. Thank you.”
