APC Bigwig In Katsina, Mustapha Inuwa Dumps APC For PDP

Dr. Mustapha Inuwa, a vital member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Katsina State, has defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Inuwa disclosed this at the PDP’s campaign office in Katsina on Sunday after meeting with his supporters and groups, who were chanting songs of solidarity on his capacity and ability to shape the politics of the State.

Inuwa, the immediate past Secretary to the Katsina State Government (SSG) under the incumbent Governor Aminu Bello Masari, contested for the Katsina guber ticket under the APC but lost to Dr. Dikko Umar Radda.

After the primaries, Dr. Inuwa conducted a press briefing to pledge his support for Dr. Radda.

However, the relationship between the pair went sour, with their supporters throwing insults at each other.

The major opposition parties tried to woo Dr. Inuwa. The APC and Labour Party Vice Presidential candidates, Senators Kashim Shetima and Datti Baba Ahmed, tried to bring him to their camp too.

He eventually decided to rejoin his old home, the PDP, which he left penultimate 2015 election for the APC, which was an opposition then.

Inuwa said he has realized that he and his supporters had no relevance in the APC.
