NYSC Shifts 2012 Batch C Orientation Course In Three States

The recent flooding and security challenges has necessitated the postponement of orientation course for National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Batch ā€˜Cā€™ members scheduled for November 6, nationwide.

This directive was contained in a statement issued by the Head of Press and Public Relations Unit in the NYSC Directorate Headquarters, Mrs. Abosede Aderibigbe, in Abuja.

The statement said, ā€œthe orientation course for 2012 Batch ā€˜Cā€™ corps members will commence on the 6th of November, 2012 nationwide except in three states of Bayelsa, Borno and Yobe.

ā€œThe postponement for Bayelsa State is as result of the recent flooding in the state and the subsequent accommodation of displaced victims at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Kaiama and security challenges for postponement of the course for corps members deployed to Borno and Yobe statesā€.

According to the statement, ā€œcorps members deployed to all the three states of Bayelsa, Borno and Yobe will have their orientation course from Wednesday, 28th November, 2012 to Wednesday, 19th December, 2012 at the NYSC Camps at Kaiama Grammar School, Kolokoma-Opokuma Local Government Area of Bayelsa State; Wanune in Tarka Local Government Area of Benue State; and Magaji Dan Yamusa in Keffi of Nasarawa State respectivelyā€.
