After over one year of battle between the Enugu State Government and the Mountain of Fire Ministries, the Church’s regional headquarters located at Zik Avenue, Enugu was leveled this morning.
The Church had earlier dragged the government to court over the matter last year, a situation that led to what seemed to be an out-of-court resolution of the matter.
Government was reported to have given the church 20 plots of land in another location, but the church felt it should be backed by cash to enable it rebuild the multi-million naira church, especially as it allegedly had necessary documents and approvals backing its ownership of the land and the church building.
According to report, the church had requested for some time to enable it put up a structure at the new site.
It was, however, gathered that government allegedly gave the church three days to remove its properties, a notice described as too short by the church authorities.
As early as 8 a.m on Thursday, two caterpillars from the Enugu Government commenced pulling down of the church.
As at the time of filling this report, the demolition of the large church is on-going, even as worshipers are outside singing and praying.

I’m not a member of MFM, but a xtian. I want to advise the leadership of the church to forget about the matter and leave it wholly for God to handle. I’m a man of great faith, God will answer, it might not be quick as we expect but He (God) will definitely answer.

If d church has complete documents for the land then the govt should have settled the court properly, not just equivalent plots land. However what has been done is unfair and the govt isn’t fair in its decision, but I tell u like every injustice one day some one will pay for it.

For Government to offer 20 plots of land is good. The place in question is not wide enough and cannot be expanded. It does not even look healthy I have worshipped there several times. It is a funny valley. We should tell ourselves the truth. We have seen other churches and there environment. Lets develop the 20 plots with a good master plan not management and attachments. God bless the MFM and Enugu state Government for giving the church room for enlargement.

The reason for the demolition was not clear but people no longer fear the things of God any longer. Whatever you decree on earth shall be decree in heaven. The church should tell God on what they want concerning the issue it shall come to pass..

The government of enugu has forgotten that the church he destroyed is not just a building, but the house of God and the bible says that the earth and the fullness of it is of the lord so why this demolision it is absolutely unreasonable, and if they are allocating another place, it should go with cash before without delay because, now the people of God have been made homeless and our God is not pleased with this unritheos act.
