FEC Adjourns For Christmas

All national issues that need to be discussed by the Federal Executive Council (FEC) will have to wait till next year as FEC has adjourned its meeting for the Christmas holiday.

Speaking to journalists in Abuja, shortly after yesterday’s FEC meeting, Information Minister, Labaran Maku, said cabinet members had held the last session of FEC for the year.

According to him, yesterday’s session marked the last of the weekly meeting for this year.

He said the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation would announce the resumption date soon.

Maku also called for strict observance of traffic rules and regulations during the Yuletide in order to safeguard lives and property.

The minister thanked Nigerians for supporting the administration, adding that the federal government wished them merry Christmas and happy New Year celebrations.
