This man shared a wanted picture of himself on Facebook – and was captured by police less than an hour later.

Anthony James Lescowitch Jr, known as Jimi on the social networking site, spotted his picture on his local police department’s page and decided to share it to his friends.

But Freeland Police in Pennsylvania had been looking for him for three months in connection with an assault on a man in July, and noticed what had happened straight away.

Having re-posted the picture just three minutes after the police, Lescowitch wrote: “Lol i f***ing love it,  A**HOLE.”

According to Timesleader.com, investigating officer T.J. Rentschler then posed as an attractive woman and struck up conversation with the suspect.

They arranged to meet for a cigarette, and just 45 minutes later Lescowitch was met by officers and arrested.

Police believe he posted the photo by accident, according to the site.

His friends liked the post and one wrote “I can’t like that!!” while another added “Good luck lmao”.

Shortly after, Freeland Police re-posted his photo and wrote: “CAPTURED!!!!!! SHARES OUR STATUS ON FACEBOOK ABOUT HIMSELF, CAPTURED 45 MINUTES LATER.”

Lescowitch was reportedly one of four men charged over the assault and is wanted for hitting the victim on the head before he was robbed whilst incapacitated.
