Blame Jonathan If Anything Happens To Me – Kwankwaso

Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso has raised the alarm, saying that the Federal Government was trying to harm him and his family by withdrawing a substantial number of his security aides and policemen.

The governor has also accused the Federal Government of sponsoring those he described as the enemies of the state to embark on violent protests across the state with a view to bringing down his administration.

Kwankwaso, who defected from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, with four other governors to the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC, last December, told journalists in Abuja that he was concerned about the current standoff in his state by agents of the Federal Government.

“I know that they are playing a lot of games. We do not know their intention and what they are going to do next. But I have to say like all other people in this country that everybody is concerned about his/her security, otherwise our lives are in the hands of the Almighty God.

“The bottom line is that we have seen a sign that there is a level of mischief coming from other places and I want to put it on record that whatever happens to me, my family or my state, Jonathan should be held responsible.”

The governor pointed out that it was strange for the Federal Government and PDP to be unduly involved in the choice of an emir for Kano when it was the traditional duty of the four kingmakers of the state and the state governor to approve whoever they recommend.

  1. Wonders shall never end! All the strong men who ones assumed PGEJ a week president, man are now busy lamenting his Mighty strength. Could it be true that PGEJ has been accepted the stronger BULL or are we hearing political sounds… Am just passing anyway!

  2. disgusting! Jonathan please be a man, I mean be responsible. maneuvering facts and playing politics with policies doesn’t give strength and capacity to lead a range of 170million Nigerians. games does not give power, rather God. that was why OBJ was from prison to aso rock villa. president Yar Adua died at his peak changing Nigeria for the better. and you came on board by destiny. or did you killed Ummaru? unless if u’re behind his demise, u shouldn’t be tampering with national mandates to include security, peace and Democratic atmosphere among others. we’re are nit so much concern with who holds Nigeria but its state of normalcy. so pls GEJ u’re a nice president, don’t spoil ur reputation in the fight for power. put in the best with the little you have and you become a legend. that’s why HRH. MALLAN SANUSI LAMIDO SANUSI has become one. Goodluck.

  3. Comrde Shettima, dnt u know dat dis pple are playing pilitics of bitterness, all of them put together are rogues,if we masses can vote in leaders frm unpopular parties, tins wl turn around for better.

  4. It’s laughable that anybody that caused confusion in his domain will blame the presidency. Gov kwankwaso should ask himself how many times have the people of Kano poured into the street to protest the appointment of an emir in the over 1000 years of existence of the emirate. Kano people l know will never protest over what they like no matter how much pressure and money given them. He should blame himself for causing confusion in his state.

  5. Why is GEJ always responsible for every national misadventure? Why are our executive governors who when meet with issues of governance take to flight, complaining about the might of GEJ to keep doing wrong and they are not able to do the ‘right’ that they think should have been done. Who is fooling who?
