Group Offers To Pay N19.5m For Jonathan’s Re-election Ticket

That President Goodluck Jonathan will seek re-election in 2015 is an open secret, although the president is yet to declare his intentions.

While they wait for him to make the much awaited declaration, a group has earmarked the sum of N19.5 million for the purchase of a presidential form for the President.

National Coordonator of House to House Campaign Organisation, Ogidi Ben- Bara reiterated that the group has declared President Jonathan wanted for the 2015 election and has therefore set aside the sum aside for his re-election form.

Strong indications emerged Tuesday, that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) may have zeroed for President Goodluck Jonathan as its candidate, just as the National leadership of the PDP said that it was in the interest of the nation for him to be the candidate and contest the poll.

According to the party, President Jonathan who should be given the opportunity of right of first refusal, said that he has the inalienable right to contest, adding that as a party when the time comes, it would do the needful.

Speaking Tuesday when the National Coordinator House to House Campaign Organisation for Democracy, Ogidi Ben- Bara led other member on a visit to his office at Wadata Plaza, PDP National Secretary, Professor Wale Oladipo who noted that PDP will win the 2015 presidential election in the interest of Nigeria, stressed that PDP has been known to work towards the development of the nation, adding that come 2015 the party will continue its transformation agenda.

  1. Mr President is eligible to rerun for a second term. He is competent. There must be no break in his transformation agenda, he needs a second tenor to complete it. We would offer our humble support for President Goodluck Jonathan all the way.
