MASSOB Leader Warns Igbo Residents In The North To Return Home

Leader of the Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, has again warned Ndigbo residents in any part of northern Nigeria to relocate to Igboland with immediate effect to avoid falling victim to the raging Boko Haram insurgency in the region.

Uwazuruike said he was so worried about the constant killing of innocent Igbo sons and daughters doing legitimate businesses in the north, to the extent that he decided to warn them for the last time to return home.

He added that although it was painful for them to abandon their life-time investments in the north to relocate home, their lives were more precious than their wealth.

Uwazuruike, who sounded this note of warning at the MASSOB headquarters, Okwe, near Okigwe, Imo State, regretted that his previous calls for his kinsmen to return at the beginning of the insurgency, were not heeded.

According to him, this is the reason many Igbo sons and daughters have been killed by the insurgents.

Warning that this might be his last time to make such a call, Uwazuruike insisted that their lives could no longer be guaranteed by the Nigerian security forces, adding that the only option left for them was to return home for now.

He recalled that the late Biafran warlord, Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, had in like manner warned Ndigbo to return home before the outbreak of the Nigerian/Biafran civil war, adding that those who heeded the warning returned and saved their lives, while those who disobeyed it perished with their investments.

Meanwhile, MASSOB has closed all its torture camps at Okpoko area of Onitsha, Anambra State, which it alleged had been taken over by a group, Igbo Ga-Adi Nma.
MASSOB alleged that the group had turned the camps into a hideout to extort innocent citizens, using its name. [Vanguard]

  1. Sir on be half of our kingsmem currently living in the different parths of the north i thank u for showing love and concerned for their safety i also thank u for ur courage to accept ur position as biafran leader and in extention among the igbo leaders of thought”but i sugest u give them sometime to plan about their relocations because visiting the north is different from living in the north and those are the people living in the north for years.I also want u to use ur positional power to advice our people there who are landlords to reduse their shops and house rents with other friendly arrangments so as to encourage our kingsmen/doughters to heed to ur fatherly call, because i strongly believe these factors to be our peoples fear of which they have not seen reason to ur calls”i as pro-biafra with the intension of doing anything that can lead to the actualization of our sovery state of biafra, but lets do the right thing in the right time thats all.
