The Police Service Commission, PSC, on Friday, promoted over 233 senior police officers.
The promoted officers include: 55 Assistant Commissioners of Police, ACP, to Deputy Commissioners of Police, DCP; 177 Chief Superintendents of Police, CSPs to ACP and one Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP to a Deputy Superintendent of Police, DSP.
The Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba, has also congratulated the newly promoted senior officers charging them to see their elevation as a sign of additional responsibility.
Abba also enjoined the officers to uphold ethical standards and the fundamental human rights of Nigerians in the discharge of their duties at all times.
