Goalkeeper Beto Headlines Sevilla’s Quartet Who Are Sidelined With Injury

Spanish La Liga club Sevilla will miss the services of Beto, Stephanie Mbia, Iago Aspas and Coke for the coming weeks. The club have confirmed.

Portuguese goalkeeper Beto suffered a shoulder injury when Karim Benzema crashed into him during last week’s 2-1 defeat by Real Madrid. The good news is that he does not require surgery but faces eight weeks on the sidelines.

Beto will miss Sevilla’s Europa League round of 32 clash with Borussia Monchengladbach later this month, as well as league matches against Atletico Madrid and Barcelona.

Mbia and Coke picked up hamstring injuries in Sunday’s 2-1 victory at Getafe and will be out for up to three weeks and a month respectively.

On-loan Liverpool striker Iago Aspas has a groin problem that is expected to keep him out for up to four weeks.
