Ex-Flying Eagles Coach, John Obuh Gets IfeanyiUbah Job

Former Flying Eagles coach, John Obuh has been appointed as the new head coach of Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, FC IfeanyiUbah.

He replaces Bulgarian coach, Mitko Donrev, who drew the ire of management of the Nnewi-based outfit following their Match Day 14 surprise defeat by Wikki Tourists.

The former Enugu Rangers boss will be assisted by German coach Jurgen Presse. The pair were in charge of the Nigeria Under-20 national team at the 2013 World Youth Championship in Turkey.

Obuh has been without a club since leaving the ‘Flying Antelopes’ last season.

IfeanyiUbah dropped to fifth position in the log following Sunday’s narrow defeat by Glo Premier League leaders Wikki Tourists. A win would have taken the Nigerian top flight returnees to the summit of the standings.

Obuh’s first game in charge of the Nnewi club comes away to Heartland FC on Match Day 15. The Nazee Millionaires drew 1-1 away to Sharks earlier in the week.
