President Muhammadu Buhari has pleaded with militants to have a change of heart and stop bombing of oil and gas installations across the Niger Delta as their activities has brought the economy to its knees.
While hosting leaders of the ruling All Progressive Party (APC) at the Presidential Villa yesterday, the president said “I honestly don’t know how many factions of the militants there are in the Niger Delta compared to the north east where you have only the Boko Haram “The technology being deployed by the militants to destroy oil installations is high tech, the way they can go on high sea and international waters and target oil installations is a national problem. It is affecting development.
“No insurance company will want to insure installations that will end up being blown up and no banks will want to finance such installations. “Those of you who have friends among the leadership or even the militants themselves should plead with them in the name of God Almighty to take it easy, he said.
“We need to stablise to create employment, we need to stabilise the economy, I agonise over these things. We are in a very difficult time, so we have to organise ourselves. Anybody that says he has any other country than Nigeria should go out and see.”
Dem go hear word so, these Jonathan-easy-money-spoilt brats of the Niger Delta? Their mouths are already widened by the easy money they were receiving from the former federal government and have not done an honest work all their lives. Well. No more easy money. Its either they go and find work, or they bomb on! When they finish bombing all the oil and gas installations that the army is not guarding in the Niger-Delta, they will suddenly remember that their governors, ministers, senators, legislative reps, assembly members, local government chairmen and their traditional, religious and political and social leaders are not from Daura or Ikenne but from among them. So they will kidnap or bomb them and their families? Then they should reserve the rest of the bombs for themselves. Nigeria will move on. There is oil in Lagos, Ijebu waterside, Ondo and Chad basin. Whilst Dangote smiles to the bank, these Niger Delta miscreants and rats would have turned their land into a wasteland. They should ask from boko-haram-ravaged North-East and Iboland the meaning of the expression “Warsaw saw war and war saw Warsaw. NO MORE FREE MEALS. A word is enough for the wise!
