FG Retires Mbu, 20 Other AIGs

The federal government via the Police Service Commission yesterday retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, Mbu Joseph Mbu and 20 other AIGs all of whom were said to be senior to the Acting Inspector General of Police.

A statement by the Head, Press and Public Relations, Ikechukwu Ani, said: “The Police Service Commission has approved the retirement of 21 Assistant Inspectors General of Police who were senior to the new acting Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, before his appointment.

The affected AIGs are Bala A Hassan, AIG Zone 2, Yahaya Garba Ardo, Irmiya F Yarima, AIG Zone 9, Danladi Y Mshebwala, Tambari Y. Mohammed, AIG Zone 10 and Bala Magaji Nasarawa, AIG Zone 7, Abuja, Musa Abdulsalam, Adisa Bolanta, AIG Zone 6, Mohammed J Gana, Umaru Abubakar, Manko former AIG Zone 2, Lagos, Lawal Tanko, AIG Zone 8 and Olufemi A. Adenaike, AIG in charge Training.

Others affected are AIG Johnson A Ogunsakin, Adenrele T. Shinaba, Commandant Police College Kano, James O. Caulcrick, Olufefemi David Ogumbayode, Edgar T Nanakumo, AIG in charge Works, Kalafite H. Adeyemi, Patrick D Dokumor, Mbu Joseph Mbu and AIG Sabo Ibrahim Ringim.

Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Mike Mbama Okiro congratulated the affected officers for their meritorious service to the nation and wished them well in their new endeavours.

  1. This is stupid….! How can an “Acting” Inspector retire officers who are his seniors? If Buhari and the government should overlook this, they are cowards! Ibrahim Idris is an idiot and cannot do anything in that post. His first step shows a stupid idiot in the making!
