D’Tigers played team USA in an exhibition basketball game as part of the build-up to the 2016 Rio Olympics which begins next week. Everyone was expecting a whitewash and it was not entirely a surprise that the game ended 110-66 seeing as the last time D’Tigers played the USA, it ended in a humbling 156-73 result.

Monday night’s game ensured that Team USA had won all five of their warm-up games as Carmelo Anthony led the way with 19 points, Klay Thompson scored 17, Kevin Durant 14, DeMar DeRozan 13 and DeAndre Jordan and DeMarcus Cousins 10 each.

D’Tigers will begin their Olympic campaign against Argentina on Monday morning.
