The Red Devils were comprehensively beaten by their local rival, Manchester City, in a match that depicts gulf in class between the two powerhouse. The match which was played at the Ethiad stadium of Manchester City ended 3-1 in the fixture corresponding to match day 12 of the current season.
The defending champions, Manchester City, needed only 12 minutes of actions to open the scoring through David Silva and didn’t look put their legs of the gas before doubling their lead in the second half.
Manchester United pulled one back from the penalty spot and were though to be heading for a showdown until the Citizens added a third to take the game away from reach for the Red devils.
