Abuja Taxi Driver Returns N18m To Owner; Gets Award

The Nigerian Network of Women Exporters of Service (NNWES) has honoured Mr. Imeh Usua, an airport taxi driver that returned a bag belonging to a British passenger containing foreign currency worth N18 million some time ago in Abuja.

It was gathered that he was honoured with Service Delivery Award for being a sincere Nigerian. Mr. Imeh Usua, who joined eight other award recipients in Abuja, said he had no regrets returning the money even though he is “a poor man.”

“I can never take another person’s money. I am very happy that I am being recognized,” he said.

Although the incident took place in 2007, the NNWES President, Nkiru Joy Okpala, said it was not too late to recognize Mr. Imeh Usua for his sincerity.

  1. Thank you taxi driver for being honest. There is reward for everything one does. You reap it on earth and in heaven! But why does it take 5years before awarding him? This man deserves national award. Fellow Nigerians let us learn from him. Do no incubate on another man’s property! God bless Nigeria. Amen.

  2. guys dis is not God’s doing, if he decides to help u he will do it in a Good and nice way not like u stilling something u know belongs to someone else, for instance if God wants to help you he might decides to let u do small work and make your client pay u more but he will never ask u to take what belongs to others so that u can call it miracle, My Man u try gan ni, God in his infinite mercies will reward you in his own way.
