Chaos at Lagos airport over failed check in systems

THERE was chaos at the departure hall of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos last night, as the check-in facilitation system for passengers collapsed. Passengers billed to travel to various European and American destinations wore long faces as the airport authorities resorted to manual operations.

The queue from the check-in counter of the South African Airways stretched out of the terminal. The situation was the same at both the British Airways and Air France counters. The frustrated passengers cursed, wailed and lamented the situation.
