In her words: “It is a great honour for me and our country, Nigeria. This new mandate would further strengthen our resolve to laying a solid foundation for our great organisation.

“We will not relent in our efforts in ensuring that the African First Ladies Peace Mission fulfills its divine responsibility of achieving a lasting peace in Africa… Let me appeal to you my dear sisters that all of us owe our spouses support in ensuring that peace, security and total development is achieved in Africa.

“We must all work hard to change the picture of war painted of Africa to that of a peaceful, stable and progressive continent… We can still play our part in resolving some of the ongoing conflicts in Africa.’’

  1. Bunch of vision less elements, the person that was elected as president, they should ask her, if her country has security or not?
Before talking of security in the continent, each and every one of them should have been able to ensure security in their home countries first, through their failed husbands in power.

  2. Service to human beings is service to God. Women and children are in adject poverty in Nigeria and other African countries of Dame Patience and other first ladies respectively. What are they doing about the economic improvement of their people? If Dame has human feeling she would have advised her husband to stop the proposed demolition of 19 villages. You call for peace when your government wants to render millions of women like you and the school children like yours homeless? What is more in peaces and devastated than this? God is in control, He can never allow evils to last. May God save, help and bless Nigeria and her helpless citizenries! Amen.
