One Year Old Boy, Hit By Armed Robber’s Stray Bullet In The Head, Needs N500,000 For Treatment

Taiwo Lawal, a one-year-old baby, who was shot in the head by armed robbers in the Gbagada area of Lagos State on Sunday needs N500, 000 for treatment.

Taiwo was playing in the family compound along side their neighbors’ children when the armed robbers who were robbing around the neighborhood, started to shoot sporadically. Taiwo who is a toddler, couldn’t run when the other children made for safety into their houses so, he was hit in the head by a stray bullet.

Eyewitnesses said Taiwo was hit by the robbers’ bullets when they opened fire on a policeman, Emmanuel, and another victim, Sikiru Abiodun, who later died on Monday during a surgery to remove the bullets in his body.

Taiwo’s father, Wasiu Lawal, is appealing to the state governor and kind hearted Nigerians to please come to his assistance as he has spent all his money. In his words: “I’ve spent all my money. I appeal to the governor to assist me so that my son will not die.” Taiwo is currently receiving treatment at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).
