A four-year-old boy died after a petrol farm attendant forced compressed air into his stomach through his anus.
Jevi Millana was rushed to the hospital by his parents after he collapsed and later on died after Jeffry Namoco stuck a hose used to inflate tyres up his anus on Friday, the daily Philippine Star reported.
Police are preparing child abuse, homicide and other criminal charges against Namoco in connection with the incident.
According to the report, Namoco who was detailed at a petrol farm’s car wash service in suburban Quezon City had wanted to teach Millana a lesson for playing in the premises of the establishment.
Namoco scolded the boy before shoving a 16 millimetre air hose up his behind and turning on the compressor valve. The sudden rush of pressurised air into the boy’s bottom caused him to bloat in the stomach before collapsing.
According to the report, Millana’s elder brother saw what had happened.
Police said an autopsy would be performed on Millana’s body.
The death of Millana took place less than a year after a similar act was performed by a businessman on a nine-year-old boy.
A ABS-CBN News report revealed that Mark Jayson Culano died after suspect, Lucidro Dimacahilig, a rice mill operator in Gapan City, inserted an air hose into his anus last February.
According to police, the victim was playing with an air hose used in the rice mill before he inserted it into the boy’s anus and turned on the valve.
Just like Millana, the victim’s stomach became bloated before he passed out.
Dimacahilig had been charged with homicide and child abuse cases. [GN]
