We gathered that the deal was signed in late 2012 and will last for a year. While the financial details of the deal are undisclosed, those in the know say it’s ‘a couple of millions’.
Akindele will act as brand ambassador for the IT company, appear in TV commercials and record radio ads as well as make appearances at Jobberman events.
An executive for Jobberman disclosed the need for the partnership with Funke ‘Jenifa’ Akindele who happens to be a very popular face with Nigerian youths. ‘Being Nigeria’s number one Jobs website, we realised that there is a need to reach out to a set of people that are not aware of the existence and usefulness of Jobberman’, the executive said.
‘With over 500,000 registered users, a large number of active users of the internet are aware of Jobberman but the set of people we are targeting now basically visit Facebook and check mails only’.
