“I am sorry… hope Nigeria wins the #NationsCup. Amen” – Emmanuel Eboue Apologizes

EboueAs the Super Eagles prepare for their AFCON semi final meeting with Mali, Elephant of Cote d’Ivoire defender, Emmanuel Eboue, who had boasted that his country will eat the Super Eagles of Nigeria like ‘super fried chicken’ during their quarter final match in the tournament, has apologised over his comments.

The Ivoirian defender, who through his twitter handle @TheRealEboue, congratulated Nigeria shortly after his country was humiliated in a 2- 1 defeat by the Super Eagles, wished the country’s soccer team good luck in the competition.

His country was sacked from the Nations Cup by the Super Eagles of Nigeria who put up a superlative performance to shock all their critics who had written them off.
