Students’ Protest Forces UNIABUJA To Postpone Exams To February 18

abuja3The protracted accreditation crisis rocking the University of Abuja took a further blow when examinations for final year students which should have begun Monday, were postponed by management.

It would be recalled that students of the institution have been locked in a protest against management over problems of accreditation and as early as 5:00am yesterday morning, Engineering and Medical students again begun a protest that led to a closure of the varsity’s gate at the main campus by the agitated students.

Despite the heavy presence of mobile police and soldiers at the institution’s premises, the students insisted that the examinations would not commence without proper accreditation of their courses by the National Universities Commission.
