If your dream of being crowned the most beautiful girl in Nigeria is yet to come true and you are over 23, you might as well wake up or change your dream. The reason is because to contest at the 2013 Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageant, you can’t be more than 23 years old.

The age limit for the pageant since its inception in the 80s had been 18-26. In fact, the current queen Isabella Ayuk won the pageant last year at the age of 25. But now, the age limit is set at 18-23.

The reason for the change in age limit may not be unconnected with the fact that the age limit for Miss World is 25, and the winner of the MBGN pageant goes on to represent the country on the world stage. The pageant organizers Silverbird Entertainment must have their reasons for reducing the age limit of contestants progressing with the crown.
