Boko Haram Amnesty Committee Suffers Setback As Dr. Datti Ahmed Pulls Out

datti-ahmad_0The Boko Haram Amnesty Committee announced by President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday suffered a setback as a nominee, Dr Ibrahim Datti Ahmed rejected his nomination.

Datti, a medical doctor and President of the Supreme Council of Sharia in Nigeria, is the second nominee to pull out of the committee in the last 24 hours after civil rights activist, Comrade Shehu Sani declined to serve on the committee.

Although, Dr Datti has not given reasons for his refusal to be on the committee which is comprised of eminent Nigerians, Comrade Sani on the other hand said he was not consulted before his name was included on the committee.
