Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney and wife Coleen have announced the birth of their second son.
Klay Anthony Rooney was delivered at 02:11 BST and her mother immediately took to social microblogging site twitter, to herald the birth of her new child.
She wrote he weighed 7lb 11.5oz (3.5kg) and “we’re all so happy and doing well.”
The United striker also announced the birth to his teeming follower on twitter saying:
“Both Klay and Coleen are fine (and) we’re all delighted.”
Klay is the younger brother to the Rooney’s first three- year- old son, Kai, who was born in November 2009.
Rooney missed Manchester United’s trip to the Hawthorn, in the last game of the season on Sunday to be with his wife, who started child Labour at the early hours of Sunday.
