Manchester United’s summer target Kevin Strootman is interested in the move to the English Premier League, his agent Chiel Dekker said- despite interests from across Europe.

PSV Eindhoven midfielder, Strootman, who captained Holland to the semi-finals of the European Under-21 Championship is reported by Talksport to be set to make a decision concerning his future and has set his sights on a move to England.

Dekker also revealed that clubs from France and Russia have joined Manchester United and Napoli in the move to sign the 23-year-old Holland striker who has won 18 senior caps.

Strootman has been the subject of transfer speculations and it is expected he move away from Eindhoven even with three years left on his present contract.

But his agent insists he is keen on moving to the Premier League.

“He is focused on England because that would suit his style,” Dekker said. “He has the physique, the character and the fitness for it. I am certainly not afraid he could handle that level.

“Kevin has ambition but it is not in my hands,” added Dekker. “From PSV it would have to be a step up to a good club.

“It is not simple though because the price will be expensive and not many teams can afford him.

“The club knows what he can do now. It is up to them whether they want to reach an agreement with PSV and take him.”
