The faction of Nigeria Governors’ Forum, NGF, led by Governor Jonah Jang of Plateau State has hailed President Goodluck Jonathan’s deployment of troops to Nasarawa State to quell the violence and restore law and order in troubled spots of the state.
The faction’s commendation of the president’s action was contained in a statement signed by the Media Officer to the chairman of the Forum, Musa Bello, who stated that the development was another indication of the seriousness of the federal government to partner state governments in a bid to ensure peace in the country.
Jang also urged the warring communities in the state to seek peaceful ways of resolving their differences while pledging the support of the Forum to Governor Tanko Al-Makura in finding a lasting solution to the violence in the state.
