Niger state governor, Dr. Mua’zu Babangida Aliyu, has been accused by spokesman of the Christian Association of Nigeria in the 19 northern states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr. Sunday Oibe, of causing disunity among northerners.

In an interview with THISDAY on Tuesday in Kaduna, Oibe said there can never be unity in the north when leaders like the Niger governor openly discriminate against Christians.

Oibe described a statement by the governor who recently alleged that there were plots to cause disunity among northerners ahead of the 2015 general elections as a farce, alleging that Aliyu and some northern leaders were the very people working against the unity of the north.
