The Governor Rotimi Amaechi-led Nigeria Governors’ Forum, NGF, has condoled with Governor Isa Yuguda of Bauchi state and the entire Yuguda family over the death of Hafsat Yuguda Ibrahim, the immediate younger sister of Mr. Yuguda, who lost the battle to cancer on Wednesday.
A statement by the Director-General of the NGF, Asishana Okauru, said “It is unfortunate that Mrs. Ibrahim passed on at a time the country needed her invaluable service most. Her loss, he said, is no doubt a monumental loss to Nigeria.
“Mrs Ibrahim departure is deeply painful and devastating. But we take solace in the fact that she lived and died well. She dedicated her life to raising her children and serving her people and country. We believe she will long be remembered for the services she rendered to her community.”
According to the statement, the Forum also commiserated with the deceased’s “family, friends and associates, the people and government of Bauchi and pray almighty Allah to give us all the fortitude to bear this great loss”.
