Aguero, Sidelined for ‘at Least a Month’.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has hinted striker Sergio Aguero could face up to four weeks on the sideline after pulling out injured during Saturday’s 6-3 win over Premier League leaders Arsenal.

The Argentina international opened scoring for City before limping off at the start of the second-half.

Pellegrini confirmed his absence at a news conference ahead of the club’s Capital One cup quarter-final visit to Leicester on Tuesday.

The Chilean boss said: “Sergio has a calf injury. The doctor can say how many weeks he will be out. I don’t know at the moment. I think he will be out for at least one month.”

His strike against Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday took his league tally to 13- second top scorer behind Liverpool’s Luis Suarez- and 19 in all competition.

He is likely to miss City’s yuletide programme, with games against Fulham, Liverpool and Crystal Palace lined up for the rest of the month before the trip to Swansea on New Year day.

City are fourth on the log, three points behind Arsenal.
