Buhari Optimistic APC Will Dislodge PDP In 2015

general_muhammadu_buhari_in_civilian_regaliaFormer Head of State, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari has expressed optimism that All Progressives Congress (APC) would win the 2015 general elections.

He added that the party would rule Nigeria no matter the opposition from other political parties.

Buhari a chieftain of the party, made the remark while addressing party faithful at a Sensitisation Rally in Port Harcourt.

He stressed that the party was solidly behind Gov. Chibuike Amaechi of Rivers, describing him as a courageous politician.

“In spite of our differences, we are one people. APC will ensure security of the nation and work toward its unity.’’

In his remarks, Amaechi decried impunity of politicians and condemned thuggery in the polity.

He urged members of APC to prepare to work hard and ensure change in 2015.

The governor said he would not declare for APC now but would do so later in the new stadium under construction in the Greater Port Harcourt area.

The Interim National Chairman of the party, Chief Bisi Akande, commended Amaechi and Rivers people for accepting and supporting the party.

A chieftain of the party and former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu, commended Amaechi for fighting shackles of poverty in the society.

He said if not for the governor’s courage, members would not have witnessed the large turnout of supporters.

Tinubu noted that the brooms they were holding are to be used in sweeping away evil and liberate the state. (NAN)

  1. I must say that i am very disappointed in APC…because APC is laying a foundation on mixed multitudes. A case of a new wine in an old wine skin. Every thief from PDP is now finding refuge in APC. APC’s desperate need to unseat President Jonathan has made her to lower her standards so long as it increases her numerical strength. What about the character of the defectors? Most of the defectors have one character issue or the other and APC has turned a blind eye to those issues. APC’s FALL IS OBVIOUS.
