Raheem Lawal Joins Real Betis.

Raheem Lawal has returned to Spain to play for Real Betis, after terminating his contract with Turkish club Mersin idmanyurdu, according to MTNFootball.com.

The 23-year-old Nigeria international midfielder has expressed delights with his move back to the La Liga, where he featured for Atletico Baleares between 2009 and 2012. He has signed a two-and-a-half year deal with Betis.

“I am in Spain now, I have signed a deal with Real Betis,” he said.

Salary hitches forced Lawal to bring to an end his months spell with Mersin idmanyurdu.

The midfielder who was linked with a move to Turkish outfits Konyasapor and Genclirbirligi in the ongoing January transfer window now joins compatriot Nosa Igiebor at Betis.
