borno_attackThe European Union has condemned, in very strong terms, the massacre of Nigerians on Saturday, February 15, in Izghe, Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.

A statement issued on Wednesday by the EU Commissioner for Foreign Policy, Catherine Ashton, described the attacks as despicable.

Ashton called on the Nigerian authorities to unmask those responsible for the massacre and make them face the full weight of justice.

Information Nigeria reports that over 130 people were killed in the massacre perpetrated by members of the radical Islamist sect, Boko Haram.
