The board of directors of Nigerian Communications Satellite (NigComSat) Ltd has ordered the Managing Director of the Nigerian Communications Satellite (NigComSat), Timasaniyu Ahmed-Rufai to proceed on an indefinite leave.
A full investigation of the financial status of the company is to be done while he is on leave.
A statement by Sonny Aragba-Akpore, head, Corporate Communications, NigComSat said that the development followed a ministerial directive by Mrs. Omobola Johnson, Communications Technology Minister.

Meanwhile, the Executive Director in charge of Marketing at NigComSat, Ms Abimbola Alale, has been named Acting Managing Director, pending the conclusion of the investigation.
