A Pentecostal pastor and founder of Full Gospel Tabernacle in Jesus Name, Pastor Jamie Coots known for his antics of preaching with snakes coiled around him has lost his life after one of the snakes suddenly bit him.
Relying on the anointing and what he called Jesus Christ’s instruction, Pastor Jamie demonstrated through his preaching that believers will be supernaturally protected from harm when handling snakes. Unfortunately, the snake he’s been using to teach his church members was the same snake that killed him.
Pastor Jamie, before his death, featured on National Geographic channel and said:
All Christians were instructed by Jesus Christ in the book of Mark 16:15-18, to pick up serpents, and they will never be hurt, as long as they are anointed by God.
The verses read: “And these signs shall accompany them that believe: in my name shall they cast out demons; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall in no wise hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”
Could it be that the Bible verse disappointed him or the pastor was just acting out of ignorance?
He misunderstood the scriptures and he dearly paid for that. Ignorant is not an excuse.
