The Sokoto State Government on Friday disclosed that it would spend the sum of N120 million on the purchase of 300 tricycles to ease movement among its citizens.
The state Commissioner for Information, Malam Danladi Bako, who made this known in Sokoto, said that the gesture was part of the government’s effort to create job opportunities for the unemployed youths.
On the modalities for distribution, Bako said the tricycles would be available to youths in the 23 local government areas at a subsidised rate.
The commissioner said the gesture would assist the state government to further reduce poverty through job creation.
