Balotelli Loses Cool on TV, Dumps Microphone

AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli threw his microphone down after an interview with Sky Italia following his side’s 2-0 loss at AS Roma.

Coach Clarence Seedorf opted to replace the former Manchester City marksman with Giampaolo Pazzini in the 69th minute of Friday’s defeat at second-placed Roma.

Balotelli hit back at pundits Zvonimire Boban and Giancarlo Marocchi during the post-game live TV interview.

“You don’t understand anything about football,” an infuriated Balotelli snapped at Marocchi.

Former AC Milan midfielder Boban criticised the Italy international, saying he was not a top player during the match.

“You always talk about me. When Milan win Mario’s great, but when Milan lose it’s all Mario’s fault.

“I don’t need your criticism, I criticise myself.

“I never said I’m a top player. I am a perfectly normal player, it’s you that say I am an exceptional player, you always expect me to score five goals a game,” continued Balotelli, who has scored 14 Serie A goals this season.

“You always talk and talk, but there’s no point to saying any of these things. No point at all.”

Milan have endured an uncharacteristic season and will finish outside the top three of the Italian league for the first time in six years.
