Robin and van Gaal
Holland and Manchester United striker Robin Vanpersie has told the press of his happiness with van Gaal’s appointment, and says he’s eager to work with his Manager at club level, InformationNg understands.
Robin who guided United to their 20th league title last time out with Alex Fergison in charge, had a torrid injury season that saw his club finish 7th and miss out on Champions League.
However, he believes van Gaal can help lead United to the glory days and expects a direct approach.
“I have enjoyed the past two years with Holland a great deal,” he is quoted in The Sun Sunday.
“He is very clear in what he says. I am now going to go through another two-year process with Van Gaal and I am looking forward to it.
“It is a different sort of approach to what I was used to with previous coaches, but I like it.
“It is a very Dutch way of doing things – very direct but intended to make us better players.”
