Jonathan Appoints Prof. Rufa’i Alkali As Political Adviser

President Goodluck Jonathan on Thursday appointed Prof. Rufa’i Alkali as his Special Adviser on Political Affairs more than a month after sacking Ahmed Gulak.

The appointment was contained in a press release by the president’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Dr Reuben Abati.

According to the statement, the President also appointed Hajia Baraka Sani as his Senior Special Assistant for Schools Agriculture Programme.

Abati said the appointments were with immediate effect.

Sani was Kano State Commissioner for Agriculture.

A political scientist, who hails from Gombe State, Alkali, on his part served as National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from 2008 to 2012.

He was appointed Pro-Chancellor, Federal University of Technology, Minna in 2013.

We have been able to brand 35 private cars in the zone which have created more support in returning our President come 2015.
