The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alhaji Aminu Wali, has expressed confidence that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will no doubt win the forth coming 2015 general election, because according to him, the so-called popularity of the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC, was nothing but ‘fake and artificial’.
The minister also faulted the result of the just concluded local government elections in Kano, which returned all APC’s candidates as winners in the 44 local government areas of the state, saying: “Every sensible person knows that what happened was nothing but a sham and arranged election”.
Aminu Wali, who was in Kano to collect his renewed PDP registration card at his Hotoron Kudu ward, Nassarawa local government area at the weekend, alongside former Governor Ibrahim Shekarau, said that the participation of hundreds of people willing to register with the PDP had clearly cast doubts about the perceived popularity of the ruling APC in the state.
He said after the registration exercise and after millions of Kano People and indeed the entire Nigerian Populace must have collected their membership cards with the PDP, then truth will now reveal itself that the much touted popularity of APC is nothing but a blatant lie and sham.
The foreign affairs minister noted that the performances of the ruling party at the centre in terms of job creation, execution of important projects and the concern of the government of its people, despite the security challenges, has maintained hopes in the minds of Nigerians that “only PDP will rescue them”.
Also speaking after registering at his Giginyu ward Kano, Mallam Shekarau alleged that the ruling party in Kano used thuggery and intimidation to claim victory in the last local government elections.
The immediate past governor of the state noted that the huge number of millions of Kano peoples, who are trooping out to register with PDP in the state, has given them confidence that they will certainly win the next elections.
